There's No Crying in Baseball
So I was babysitting the other day and the youngest child started to cry, while trying to calm her down I said to her “come on, there’s no crying in baseball.” Why that phrase came to mind I have no idea, I mean I haven’t seen A League of Their Own since it was on the big screen and why I associate crying and baseball I’ll never know. Perhaps it is just one of those...

Its that time of year again...
Baseball season. America’s favorite past time is once again upon us. A time for nostalgia, new memories, new hopes, new dreams and most importantly a new season.  Thoughts and tears of last season have officially been washed away and it’s time to start fresh (maybe that is why baseball season starts in the spring.) It can be a heart breaking season that is tough to swallow (as Cubs...

– Ozzie Guillen While I in no shape, way or form will ever be a Sox fan..I do respect the guy.  He reminds me of Sweet Lou in his hayday….sadly I feel like Lou (while I love him) is using the cubs as his retirement stage…. GET ON THEIR ASSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good story about...

They'll sell anything, and Cubs fans will buy it
This week has been one of those weeks…emotional (and weather) roller coaster. Opening day is upon us and it’s almost time for the HOME OPENER! As we enter this season hopefully with all the negative feelings from last year buried with years and years and YEARS of past hurt and emotional turmoil, we can re-open our broken hearts up to a new season…new beginnings…Most of the world...

Milton Bradley issues statement of apology →
Really?! I am sorry, if I am reading this correctly we are still paying him during his suspension?! As in still getting the same amount as he did when he played? So we are down a player AND losing money that we could have at least paid two rookies for ??? I think we should make Mr. Bradley play as punishment, I mean he obviously hates it, we really don’t have anything to lose at...

~”(Former Cubs manager) Don Zimmer always said it best,” Dawson said Monday from Miami. “The only thing that he expected was that you show up on time and you do not go out and disrespect the fans, the media and your teammates.”~ There is no ‘I’ in team… your actions and words are no longer just your actions and words..they become the teams.

Cubs' Milton Bradley won't find answers in Chicago →
While I understand people go through things, this is still a job and like every job sometimes you have to “check it at the door” - especially if you are getting paid millions…I’m just saying… And like any other job you are going to get a talking to, warnings, etc until enough is enough… I think enough was enough.

The easy thing would be to flip the channel and tune out the Cubs the rest of the season. A miracle comeback doesn’t appear to be in the offing. The Jay Cutler era begins Sunday. And the possibility of getting a glimpse at an animated “conversation” between Lou Piniella and Carlos Zambrano probably isn’t worth the wait. Then again, if you’re a Cubs fan, watching...
